I love his design and such but I never like to draw him because of how hard it kinda is for me since I'm bad at drawing robots. This is all before we get into bastion’s skins, which can change Ganymede to anything from a wood pecker to a pigeon. Bastion is one of my most favorite character out of like five people,in Overwatch. The Yellow Cardinal (Gubernatrix cristata) has some different coloration but is normally yellow, unlike the Northern cardinal.Īnother interesting bird is the White-throated Bulbul (Alophoixus flaveolus) Again the colors are not right but the crest and general body shape are close. While he does not exactly match any species I, or (who is better with bird IDs than I am) know of, there seems to be a lot of talk about him being a xanthochroic Northern cardinal, a Yellow mutation. This is an interesting one, I had to do some research because I am one of the 3 people on earth who has not played Overwatch, but Ganymede’s species leads to some interesting places. and i think i can finally get back to improve my drawing now.
